The Fractionals® Story

Having started my career as a chemist I quickly developed a deep belief that if you can measure it, you can improve it.

Somehow, that took me all the way to the role of CEO, in a corporate PLC leading a multi-million-pound STEM portfolio. Exhilarating, hard-earned and full of lessons you don't get in any leadership programme or book. I learned how to scale, how to deliver, and how to make the decisions that impact real lives, not just a P&L.

And I picked up my fair share of boardroom battle scars along the way

Then I stepped out of corporate life, and had to rediscover what "work" even means when the badge, the structure, and the safety net disappear. I built a portfolio career. Learned how to win work without a big logo behind me. How to trust my instincts again. How to navigate the SME Wild West where cash is oxygen, trust is currency, and consequences are immediate.

During the transition I kept thinking there has to be a better and more trusted way to connect seasoned executives with scaling businesses, without the gatekeepers or the inflated fees.

So The Fractionals® was born.

It's free for people like us: The ones who've done the big jobs, earned the stripes, got the boardroom battle scars, yet still want freedom, integrity, and impact. It's also for ambitious businesses who need real executive firepower to scale and grow, without paying Big Consultancy and Search fees. And it's for Fractionals who want to be part of a community, with standards and opportunity, without being treated like inventory.

And beyond the platform, we're building a Social Mobility Foundation. Not a CSR tick-box, a genuine commitment to access, sponsorship, and mentorship for people who might not otherwise have the opportunity to rise, grow, and thrive.
